Nearly 20 years of focused expertise leading the development of the Clean Energy Economy. Awarded a Proclamation by the Governor of Maryland and appointed to numerous boards. Chris is currently the Chief-of-Staff at The Maryland Energy Administration.
Chris Rice has spent nearly two decades promoting Green Energy including an appointment to the Appalachian Regional Commission’s Energy Policy Committee, and the Northeast Regional Biomass Program’s Steering Committee. In addition Chris oversaw the Renewable Energy Tax Credit Program which brought 415 MW of renewable energy online.
Chris was issued a Governor’s Proclamation for his outstanding work on the Maryland Climate Change Commission.
With a $60 million budget, Chris oversaw the development and execution of approximately 20 programs encouraging the development of the clean energy economy
A relentless advocate, Chris was selected to sit on Maryland’s Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Council. He led the electrification grants that led to thousands of new EV Chargers across the state.
